Default Transparent Backgrounds

    Greetings!
Say I have a table on my page, and it has a different background from that of the main page. Is there a way for the table's background to be semi-transparent?
Thanks in advance!

if you are using an image as the background to the table, create it in something like paint shop pro, with the areas you want to be transparent as one colour e.g white. Then set this colour to be transparent in the colour menu. As long as you save this image as a gif, it should be transparent.
