    Default UPDATE syntax???

    I am having trouble with the syntax of my UPDATE statement.<BR><BR>SQL_query = "UPDATE session SET time=&#039;10:32 PM&#039; WHERE sessionid = &#039;87807863949&#039;" <BR>RS = Mconn.Execute(SQL_query)<BR><BR>thanks.

    do you have the field type as datetime?<BR>try<BR>..set time=&#039;10:32:00 PM&#039;

    Nah that still hasnt worked. The Error I get is:<BR><BR>Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039;80040e14&#039; <BR><BR>[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in UPDATE statement. <BR><BR>/csci311/protected/security2.asp, line 39 <BR>

    Default RE: UPDATE syntax???

    It may not be the cause of your problems, but I think that Time is a reserved word, and possibly session as well. Can you rename them and try again?

    Default Working now.

    Thanks that did it. I didnt think it would matter cos it was in the query string. You learn something everyday. Thank you both for your help.
