Default ADO Record Object Problem

    I am having trouble getting a record to open with a recordset as the source.

Here is the basic code I am using:

Set cn = New Connection
Set rs = New Recordset
Set rec = New Record

cn.ConnectionString = "Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Data Source=(local);Initial Catalog=Northwind;User ID=sa;Password="

cn.Open
rs.Open "SELECT * FROM Orders", cn

Do While Not rs.EOF
rec.Open rs
rs.MoveNext
rec.Close
Loop

Here is the error I am getting:
Run-time error '3251';
Object or provider is not capable of performing requested operation.

Is what I am attempting possible? I want to pass the current row of the recordset to another process as a record.

Thanks

    What you are trying is NOT possible; there is no such thing as a record object. I think what you might want to do is to put the recordset into an array with getstring and then split and pass the "records" as delimited strings into your other process.
