Default Password Encryption

I have an Access database that stores user name and password information. This information is currently stored as text. Anyone could open the database on the server and view the passwords. Is there a way to encrypt/decrypt the password information using ASP code or via Access parameters?

Thank you,
Mike

you could always have a script that encryptes the password before you store it in the database and a reverse script that restores the information before you use it.

As an example you could add 1 to every number in the string and replace every character with the one coming after it a becomes b, etc.
