Default Mime-types and file names

    When using the text stream to transfer files from a server to a client (e.g. word docs) because the initial URL is an ASP extension I get the wrong mime-type match.
Is it possible to determine the mime-type of a file, and force not only the browser to use the specified app, but also when the users choses to the save the file, for it to have the correct filename.
You can use Response.ContentType to set the MIME type
I&#039m not sure what the Word MIME type is, but this example
set&#039s it to xml:

Response.ContentType = "text/xml";

HTH,
ian S
