    By large query I assume you mean a query that returns a lot of records. Well, it depends. If your using server-side recordsets then server resources, especially RAM becomes an issue. If you use client-side recordsets then network bandwidth becomes critical. Most apps I&#039ve seen take a one time bandwidth hit transferring the data to the client, cache the data there, process it accordingly, and take another hit synchronizing changes to the back-end database.
