Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) is used to deliver internet email. The /drop directory receives mail that the server determines to be within its own network. All other mail is sent out to the intended recipient. SMTP Server does not receive mail from outside the firewall. You will need a server with a Post Office Protocol (POP) to receive mail.
