I am building a website with IIS Server4.0 and Sql Server 7.0.<BR>From an asp page i call a VB Component. The component has a Stored Procedure to get the data from SQL 7.0 using recordset. The data is retrieved from a field which is used to store Images and Doc (data type=image, some thing to do with BLOB). Since the data being retrieved is very large(5 MB) the stored procedure hangs the sql server and VB Component keeps waiting for the stored procedure to return the recordset. This causes the IIS Server to hang.<BR>Is there a way that i can kill this stored procedure from the VB Component, if it does not return the result after a specific time and then throw a message to the ASP page?<BR>Please help as this is urgent.<BR>
