I have a database that consists of multiple Excel tables. I use a looped UNION SELECT statement that increases so that all tables are searched when queried. This all works fine, but if I have to search more than 22 linked tables, the system returns an error: "....alias is not valid". Does this mean that the SELECT statement can be only a limited length ? I was under the impression that a SELECT statement could contain as many UNION SELECTs as I wanted. Please help me on this !!!!!
