In the midst of my ASP script, I need to know if my record INSERT was performed or not. Is it possible to do something like this:

SQL = "UPDATE blah, blah, blah WHERE Blah blah blah"
dbConn.Execute(SQL)

If dbConn.Execute = True then
Record was updated blah, blah, blah
Else
Record was not updated, insert something elsewhere...
End if

Does this make sense? I need to know if the record was changed with the execution, and if not then I have a need to assign a value someplace else.

Thoughts? Help?

Thanks. = )

Chris A.
