Default IE temporary internet files

    Hi, I am fairly new to all this so please be gentle!

My problem is that I need the browser (IE v5) to NOT use its cached copies of the html pages my asp produces. I need it to run the code every time. Does anyone know a way of forcing IE to do this or a way of clearing someone's cache (unlikely though) through code.

Cheers
TIA

Sarah

    This can be done through cache control. At the top of yer page, add the following script:

<%Response.CacheControl = "no-cache"%>

There are some other ways to do this as well, using Expires, etc. This is supposed to take care of it, though.

    Include this code into all of your pages.

Response.expires = now()-2
Response.ExpiresAbsolute = Now()-2
Response.AddHeader "pragma","no-cache"
Response.AddHeader "cache-control","private"
Response.CacheControl="no-cache"
