Default "break on"

I read in an SQLbook about "break on" which means that when many fields have got the same value the value is only written out once. My question is; with which databases does this work? And if it only works with Oracle (which was the db in the example), is there something simular that works with other databases? Thankful for all kinds of help!

I don't know... What does "distinct" do and how does the syntax look? Unfortunately I haven't got the book with me...

But you have an Internet connection...

I would suggest that you do a search on google for SQL reference, or something of the sort. You might even throw 'distinct' into the same search.

This Internet thing is pretty cool, huh?
