I'm trying to do a Command.Execute using an Access Query (UPDATE Query) and grab the number of rows affected to verify that a record exists with the userid I pass as a param. But the records affected is being set to 0 even though I KNOW its affecting 1 record. Here is my code:

var intRecordsAff = new Number();

var objConn = openConn( .... );
var objParam = new ActiveXObject("ADODB.Parameter");
var objCommand = new ActiveXObject("ADODB.Command");
objCommand.CommandText = "updateVisitorCount";

objParam = objCommand.CreateParameter("@userID", adVarChar, adParamInput, 75);
objParam.value = strUserID;

objCommand.Parameters.Append(objParam)

objCommand.ActiveConnection = objConn;
objCommand.execute(intRecordsAff, null, adExecuteNoRecords);

Response.Write("
Records Affected: " + intRecordsAff + "<p>");

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
