    Hi.<BR>I am getting a strange erorr when I point with my DSN to access database.<BR>Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039;80004005&#039; <BR><BR>[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Cannot open database &#039;(unknown)&#039;. It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt. <BR><BR>/forum/default.asp, line 11 <BR><BR>The DSN connection is correct and this forum worked also before.<BR>Any ideas ?<BR>Leon

    So you have no clue what might be causing this? You don&#039;t recall changing anything in the DSN Administration in the Control Panel? You haven&#039;t changed anything in the DSN connection script in your page? It just went "poof" and didn&#039;t work? <BR><BR>I have looked up this error, and one possible explanation is this according to MSDN:<BR><BR>"This can happen if IIS can&#039;t write the Jet lock file because IUSR_MACHINE doesn&#039;t have write permissions to the directory containing the .mdb file. "<BR><BR>Can this be possible that you changed file/folder permissions?<BR><BR>Hope this might have helped... if not, write back with some more explaining.. it never hurts us to know more...<BR><BR>Cheers, <BR><BR>Vadim C.<BR><BR>
