COM is one of the services of windows DNA through which(COM),we can build software components deployed on any of the tiars.Windows DNA is multitiered, distributed application model which provides a set of services that are part of operating system infrastructure.
The next generation of COM is COM+.COM only provides the framework of components,so to be able to make COM components have TRANSACTION capabilities,we need COM+ which operates only on
Windows 2000.
So COM+ = Windows 2000 + MTS integrated COM
