I have inherited a system where the Windows 98 task scheduler is being
used to run scheduled tasks to update a SQL Server database.

The batch process that is run on a nightly basis is comprised of the
following
1. .bat file is run and copies the data using Client Access to a
directory on the PC running Win98. The file is saved as a .csv.
2. The entire table is deleted from SQL Server.
3. Run a Microsoft Access macro that appends the .csv file to the
table.
4. Dump the transactions.

Is there a more efficient, secure method to do this? Thanks.
