I have read the articles for paging thru a recordset and I am wondering what's better performance wise if I have to navigate a recordset from an SQL Server database using ASP:
Thru a stored procedure in SQL Server http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/062899-1.shtml
or with ASP code using AbsolutePage, etc.
http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/070500-1.shtml

I haven't used SQL Server yet but will be using it for a very big project and I am evaluating what method is better. Does anybody also know if SQL Server has a LIMIT statement which could also be used for retrieving specific rows within the recordset?

Thanks in advance, I really need help with this subject.
