    Default HTTP Headers

    Is it possible to edit the http headers?<BR><BR>For example, i want to tell the server that i want to login as a specific user.<BR><BR>Request.ServerVariables("AUTH_USER") = "Test" <BR>Request.ServerVariables("AUTH_PASSWORD") = "ME"<BR><BR>So that it will let me have the permissions that i require to do whatever.<BR><BR>Thx,<BR>Tom

    Everything in the REQUEST object is read only. Makes sense: It is *reporting* to you what has already happened. (And once headers have been received by the web server, they are immutable, if that is what you are asking.)<BR><BR>The only way to alter headers is by using the various properties and methods of the RESPONSE object.
