Default Timed confirmation message

Presently after I capture a significant amount of data on a form, the submit button invokes an asp page that retrieves data from the query string and writes it to a flat file. The HTML showing is a simple hyperlink that returns you to the form with a confirmation message that the update occured. What I want to do is complete the file update function but instead of requiring the user to click on the confirmation message, show a confirmation message for say 3 seconds, then automatically return them to the form. Is this possible?

Thanks,

Chad

Yes. Either play with the META tag to redirect in 3 seconds, or write a JS function that submits the form after 3 seconds. Depends on what info you need back.

Is 3 seconds going to be enough for someone to read? You should give a link instead.
