I am trying to check a cookie value on a given page. This page, when run with an IE5 client works as it should. However, if this page is run using an IE4 client, I get a 400 server error:

HTTP Error 400

400 Bad Request

Due to malformed syntax, the request could not be understood by the server. The client should not repeat the request without modifications.

I checked MSDN and found an article pertaining to this error about the use of custom errors. This particular site does indeed have custom errors, but when switched back to the IIS default settings for server errors we still encountered the same behavior. Any clues?
