Default Email Validation

I am looking to write an almost accurate email validation script that checks the domain to see if it is valid. I know that there is a dll that you can install on the server but I cannot find any info on this topic, any help? or other suggestions?
thanks

mike

It would probably be in the thousands of names, and not too mention that there are companies popping up everywhere every day. Consider this also: Many hosting sites give you a choice to have your email be the same name of your site (like scott mitchell's is).

In short, you always going to be 2 steps behind, and may lose customers. Just better off asking for it, and checking for @ and .
