Default Querying a recordset

I need to extract a recordset(rs) from a SQL Server table and then use VBScript to run through the rs and use its records to populate a new recordset (finalrs) in memory.

The final recordset then needs to be summarised which I thought could do with an SQL query like:

Select Sum([Transactions]) As [TOTALTRANSACTIONS] FROM finalrs.........etc.

but this does not work. Can anyone suggest a way to query a recordset that is already in memory or alternatively how the individual records in the final recordset can be summarised?

Thanks for your help

Default RE: Querying a recordset

you could put your original recordset into an array using myRecordSet.GetRows. You can then do what you want with the data including changing it and piuting it back into the db etc
