    Default Attaching files to a form output

    I have written HelpDesk specifically for Intranet purposes.<BR><BR>However, there is the need sometimes for users to submit a screenshot of the issue they are having.<BR><BR>Does anyone know how to attach a file (any format) to a form output.<BR><BR>Thanks for reading<BR>Steven<BR>

    obviously you need to add an &#060;input type="file" name="file1"&#062; to your form. You also need to add the enctype attrib to your opening form tag:<BR><BR>&#060;form method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" action=..&#062;<BR><BR>the data is then submitted using MIME content headers instead of url encoding.<BR><BR>on the processing side, you have to access this file and the rest of the form using request.binaryread (note: once this has been accessed, you can no longer access other items in the request collection) You then need to parse the form data, determine what the record-separating token is etc. <BR><BR>The easy way to do it is to get your hands on one of the many File upload components that has already been written, - SA-FileUp is pretty good -<BR><BR>or write your own component:<BR><BR><BR><BR>hth<BR><BR>Mark<BR><BR><BR>
