Upgrading to SQL Server Database from Access Datab
I currently have an access database attached to my web page but I want to upgrade this to an SQL Server database. When I go to connect to SQL it takes a very long time and eventually times out. Do you have any suggestions?

It may not be you Access database but your connection settings.

If the Access database is not currently heavily used by over 60 simultaneous Connections, it should be able to cope with the amount of data it will need to process.

Just checked that you have setup the right DSN for your database connection, and also make sure that you have closed all the connections after use (this also includes the recordsets)

Example:

Set ConnDB.Close
Set ConnDB = Nothing

Set RecSet.Close
Set RecSet = Nothing

Another thing is to check that all the recordset/Connection objects that you have used are named correctly when used in the rest of the ASP page.
