I am trying to insert a date into an Access DB. The DB field is called date and is of type date.<BR><BR>the SQL statement is as follows:<BR><BR>strSQL = "INSERT INTO main (Date,Hours,UserID,ClientID,ProjectID,JobType) VALUES (#" & Date & "#," & sngHours & "," & iUserID & "," & iClientID & "," & iProjectID & "," & iJobType & ")"<BR><BR>the problem seems to be with the date b/c this statement works fine w/o the date entry.<BR><BR>here is the error i get:<BR>Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039;80040e14&#039; <BR><BR>[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access 97 Driver] Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement. <BR><BR>/timesheet/add.asp, line 40 <BR><BR>unfortunately, the line number doesn&#039;t coorespond to anything useful (which is another question altogether, but if anyone has any ideas...)<BR><BR>thanks,<BR>cory<BR>
