I have used FileSystemObject for several uses in the past and have always opened the server files using an absolute path such as C:subdirfile.txt.
We are getting ready to move our web site to an NT Server outside of our direct control.(That is, we will not be doing the system admin). We may or may not even know what the absolute path is for our web site's home directory, or it may be changed without notice or our control. Is there any way to open files relative to the home directory of the web site. Since we have approximately 50 scripts with this situation, this is a fairly important and urgent question to us.
As a secondary question/comment, I created a file using just a file name(no path) and it went to C:WinntSystem32. I'm not sure what to make of that.
