    Default back / cancel button

How can i keep track on which page the user is from, so that when user click on the "back/cancel" button on each page in the application, it will actually go back to the page where he came from?

i have found some article about the server variable.<BR>what i found was using hyperlink to go back to previous, eg:<BR>&#060;a href="&#060;%= Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_REFERER") %&#062;"&#062;Previous Page&#060;/a&#062;<BR><BR>but what if i want to user "button" instead of hyperlink? how do i code it? (i have some other buttons in the same page)
