    Default recordset paging query

    Hi there<BR><BR>I am having a few problems with a recordset paging code (This action is not supported by the provider kind of error message)<BR>I am using and have a vague idea that you need to have updated Access drivers to use CacheSize, AbsolutePage, PageSize and PageCount.<BR><BR>Is this true? how do I tell what drivers I am using and if I need to update them does anyone have an address?<BR><BR>The other thing it may be is I am using the wrong cursortype so I will check that to.<BR><BR><BR>Thanks to all who provide advice.<BR><BR>Justin.<BR><BR>Cheers<BR>Justin

    I think that all you need is to install the latest version of MDAC from microsoft.<BR><BR>However, it maybe that you need to use an appropriate cursortype to us paging.<BR><BR>Ie:<BR><BR>Set oRs=Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")<BR>oRs. Open txtSQLQueryString, Conn, adOpenDynamic, adLockOptimistic<BR><BR>This should give the right cursortype.
