A database should be normalized. This means that a table should be about one topic and should have a primary key. All the info in one table should be related with no duplicate info. Therefore, if you have that many fields, more than likely, you will need to break it up into separate tables based on topic. There are some good web sites that discuss normalizing the database. This will make your database quicker and more efficient.
