I am not a dba and have run into a problem that worries me. I was testing out a web app that inserts form data to a database. On trying to submit the data, I got the following error:

"The request for procedure 'users' failed because 'users' is a table object."

I opened SQL Manager and clicked on the server and got this message:

"Can't allocate space for object syslogs in database 'Extranet' because the logsegment is full. If you ran out of space in syslogs, dump the transaction log. Otherwise use ALTER DATABASE or sp_extendsegment to increase the size of the segment."

No matter what I tried to click on this same message appeared until I stopped and started SQL Server. Why did this happen and what can I do to prevent this from happening again? Thank you.
