Post your code. This has happened to me when I've written code in a hurry and referenced my recordset object incorrectly. For example, I may have
Dim RS, RS1
set RS = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
RS.Open SQL, Conn,3,3
set rs1 = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
RS1.Open , SQL2, Conn,3,3
Notice how I Dim the recordset object as RS1 and open it as RS1 but I set rs1 (lower case instead of RS1). Things like that cause that error, but you really need to post your code to get any helpful feedback.
