Default Error Handling

In a multi-tier/multi-layered application, what is the best way to catch errors? The error could be thrown by the IIS, COM, ASP, Database - is there any one way of handling all kinds of errors efficiently and effectively?
Please suggest. Thanks.

    Default I Wish

    Well,

No.

Put error handlers everywhere.
or I believe that most errors occur in db calls.
so i put error handlers into my ado functions after i have completed the project. If you do all your com and ado calls in functions, its a bit easier to functionize the trapping of errors. But it isn't foolproof
