Need much more info...

Are you running ASP on a UNIX machine (via ChiliASP fpr example)...

or is your UNIX on a different machine that you want to cause a script to be run by your web NT web server?
Yes you can do that...

you would need to use an NT command called REXEC (this command requires a password to be entered to function properly), or RSH (this command does not require a password to execute the script on the UNIX machine, but it does require you to properly setup the UNIX box to accept certian username). RCP can be used to transfer a file to the UNIX machine.

Here is a link that explains the REXEC command:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/winresource/dnwinnt/S77B7.HTM

Here is a link that explains the RSH command:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/winresource/dnwinnt/S77BF.HTM

Here is a link that explains the RCP command:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/winresource/dnwinnt/S77B3.HTM

You can use Windows Scripting Host (WSH) shell object to login to the UNIX server and execute a Command. I would recommend that you use REXEC (you will have to use RSH if the user can't logon via a pop-up window on the web server...you CAN NOT pass that window or password request to the user on a remote web client).

Here is the vbscript code that you can use issue an NT command (this is the same as issuing a WINNT command at the command prompt)...you will need to substitute your Machine name, UNIX Username and Unix Script Name in the line below:

Set oShell = Server.CreateObject("Wscript.Shell")
'Run RSH or REXEC via Command Prompt
oShell.Run "%ComSpec% /c rsh UnixMachineName -l UnixUserName -n UnixScriptName" , 1, True

You will need to properly configure your UNIX machine to use remote shell...and setup the UnixUser that you want to be able to run the UnixScript properly.

if you don't have WSH on your webserver you can get it here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/scripting/

Here is the WSH shell.run command info from devguru.com:
http://www.devguru.com/Technologies/wsh/quickref/wshshell_Run.html
