    Is there an "if exists" statement in asp. I am trying to set a variable depending on the vale of a checkbox but to no avail<BR><BR>If Request.Form("tickbox") is "1" then<BR>tick = 1<BR>Else<BR>tick = 0<BR>End If<BR><BR><BR><BR>Microsoft VBScript runtime error &#039;800a01a8&#039; <BR><BR>Object required <BR><BR>/dmail/registerpost.asp, line 44 <BR><BR><BR><BR>Any help would be great<BR><BR>Cheers<BR><BR>Tommy<BR>

    Default try this

    change the &#039;is&#039; to =<BR>and add .item<BR><BR>If Request.Form.item("tickbox") = "1" then <BR>tick = 1 <BR>Else <BR>tick = 0 <BR>End If <BR>

    &nbsp;<BR>use:<BR><BR>If ucase(Request.Form("tickbox")) = "ON" then <BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;tick = 1 <BR>Else <BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;tick = 0 <BR>End If <BR>
