Default html appearance differences

I've designed a page (asp) and it looks good in an IE browser but doesn't in Netscape. Is there any way that i can make something that will both look good in both browsers?

are there substitutes for those styles that doesn't work in netscape? (can i still have a form with a background color in netscape)
