Default Server.ScriptTimeOut

    Hi,

I've some ASP pages which connects to an Oracle Database. The query is created depending on which fields are filled in. Now When I ask for some information with a few restrictions then the page starts to connect and after a while I got a timeout error (Server.Script.timeout). With the original visual basic application we didn't had this problem. But with ASP we have.

How can we make the time out higher or a solution that came in our mind (but we don't know how to do) is : If after a let's 60 seconds the server is still busy, the user got's a screen where he's asked if he's still sure to continue and if the answer is Yes, then starts to continue with the query otherwise to stop the action and go back to the selectionscreen.

Kind Regards
Sven Cipido

    Default Server.ScriptTimeOut

    You can change the script timeout value by:
Server.ScriptTimeout=120
The time out value is in seconds.
