Default 2 Sites on one comp

I want to host 2 sites on my web server. I already have one on there. And I just got URL forwarding for the other (when someone types it in it goes to the first site). What I would like is to have the second site go to it's own files. Does anyone know how I would set this up in IIS?

- Thanks
- Nathan Masek

    Hi,

If you did a standard install, you allready have multiple sites, http://servername/iishelp, http://servername/iisadmin (that's what's there with me), and perhaps more. I myself, have got 4 custom "sites" on the local intranet server now, (IIS4 on NT) and i just got 4 folders in the wwwroot directory for them. that works for me, it might do it for you.

This way you could just use domain name forwarding to the folder you want to use for a particular site.

There might be a better way though, i just never needed it so didn't try anything else.

Kind regards,

Kris

    Default Domain Name Forwarding

If I have site2.com forwarded to site1.com/site2 then wouldnt the browser show the site as being "www.site1.com/site2" instead of "www.site2.com"?

- Thanks
- Nathan Masek
