Default Popup window problems in Netscape

    Hi there. I use the following code in my pop-up windows to set a form value on the opener window equal to the value entered in the form on the pop-up, then the code closes the pop-up. Here's the function:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
<!--
function setForm() {
opener.parent.BottomReason.frmreasons.RefComments. value = document.frmComments.txtComment.value;
self.close();
}
//-->
</script>

I call this function using the onSubmit event handler. This works perfect in IE! However, in Netscape, the window won't close. The opener form value populates correctly, but the pop-up never closes. So I tried setting a timeout (setTimeout('window.close',1000);), again called with the onSubmit event handler. Still doesn't work. Does Netscape not recognize window.close or self.close? I thought the Netscape JavaScript documentation said this was possible.

Thanks for all and any help.

    Default It should work

    Ive used code simular to this several times and never had any problems. The only difference is that I use window.close(); but I cant see why this would make any difference.
