Default Recursive Functions

I am trying to generate a navigationbar with asp, using a database-table to store the menu-hierarchy.

Each item in the menu has a name and a number, and a number for the item it comes after in the hierarchy. If the item is on top in the hierarchy, this value is "-1".

I&#039m trying to do this with a recursive function, but i&#039m beginning to think that that is impossible. It cind of feels like ASP can&#039t differentiate the variables when I call the function again?

Any response is very welcome.
Thank You.

Gorm Kjeldsen

My guess is that it would be easier if you did it via SQL. Post some code so we can see what you&#039re trying to do.
