Default Using "/" in an sql statement

Our db admin decided to create a field that uses a forward slash "/" in it. When I execute the SQL its finding too many parameters b/c the forward slash separates the field name. Is their a way to work around this or does she have to change her db field name.

strSQL= "SELECT PROJECT, (((Sum(RFAERIAL))+(Sum(RFU/G)))/5280) AS sumpreqcmiles from tblDesignData WHERE DESIGNBILL BETWEEN #" &Request.Form("txtFirstDate") & _
"# AND #" & Request.Form("txtSecondDate") & "# group by PROJECT"

Default I wouldn't call that a db admin...

but have you tried wrapping the field name with []'s

SUM([RFU/G])

HTH

Jerry

I agree, but out of curiousity, what would you call it?
