Hello.

Just wondering if anyone can suggest the 'best' way to approach this situation. I have a field with values like "1" and "3,8" and "1,2,3,8". If I want to pull up any records with an "8" in them I would say "SELECT whatever FROM table WHERE field LIKE '%8%'". The obvious problem is that any record with an 8, 88, or 888 would all be pulled. So my cheap workaround is enter all values with an odd character on both ends so that it looks like "#1# #2# #3# #8#". Then I change my query to "SELECT whatever FROM table WHERE field = '#8#'".

Is there a better way to do this than having to put those characters around the numbers?

Thanks!
