    Default ASP and Oracle

    So far I have just used ASP and SQL Server, never used it with an Oracle Db is there something I should know. Here is first question - will need to reshape my connection code so that includes the right type of syntax to point to the Oracle driver when doing an ODBC connection....or what. Thnaks in advance.

    there is something called tnsnames.ora, which will have the settings for the hostname,port no of the DB server.U need to create an entry for your application in to this file.normally this file reside under orant
    et80admin folder on the server.<BR><BR>then using the entry name u created above, u need to create a dsn name.<BR><BR>then ur connection works.
