No - that gives you the version of VBScript - you are using VBScript version 5. The version of ASP depends on what your server is running and which option packs you have installed. ASP v3 comes with IIS v4 and is standard. ASP v2 was with IIS v3. One difference between ASP 2 and 3 is that ASP 3 has an Error object and ASP 2 doesn't. You could always test for this object or not. Or easier, see what the server is running.
