Default asp/ssi help

    I know when using server side includes, you need the pages to have .shtml endings. I know though, that when you use .asp endings, you can still use the virtual includes:

<!--#include virtual="whatever.htm"-->

But the other ssi stuff wont work on .asp pages. I tried using the following:

<!--#exec cmd="/my/long/server/path/"-->

It didn&#039t work on the .asp file extension. I was wondering if there was a way to get that ssi command to work on an .asp page, or if that&#039s just not possible at all.

    Try using <!--#include file="whatever.asp"-->
