saving the page as .asp?
I don't think so-altho I am not an expert-- your MS webserver (or chili) has to recognize the page as an "asp" page-as opposed to .htm etc.
try as .asa files.<BR>it runs, but not sure of its cons.
Is there anyway I can get it to run under an html file?
No.But i know .shtml pages supports includes.I don't know much about it.Do some research on those file types.
because the server default page is index.html
that is usually the default for asp pages--my server used index.html as its default but i couldn't get index.asp to work--so i changed it to default.asp and everything was dandy:)
You seem to have the solution you need, but...<BR><BR>It is possible to change the app mappings in IIS so that .htm/.html files are processed by asp.dll... not a great plan but it can be very usefull.<BR><BR>-A
