Default global.asa and LCID

    Does anyone know how to solve the following problem?

I want to create a Session.LCID for the Dutch language in my global.asa is this possible? If yes, how can I do this.

If I simply put the line Session.LCID=1033 in my global.asa it doesn&#039t work. If I put this command above every page with script it works.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Marco Kooreman

    This is a cut and paste copy from Professional ASP book.

ASP engine uses the default locale identifier(LCID) of the WEB Server unless you specify a different locale for a PARTICULAR SCRIPT.

may be this can help you.

    I am still having problems to localize My Website for the Dutch language. My Local website runs perfect, but when I transfer my site to my ISP the prblems begin! You told me it isn&#039t possible to set the LCID in the global.asa. No problem I thought, I will put it on every page where it is required. All seems well but at a asp-page I get the following error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039 80040e21&#039

Errors occurred

/cgi-bin/confirm2.asp, line 42

The underlying code comes from the confirm2.asp

<% CurrentRecord = 0
Do While CheckRS(RS)
&#039get initial variables
subtotal = RS("subtotal")
shipcost = RS("shipcost") <------- THIS MUST BE LINE 43
taxrate = RS("taxrate")

I think it has someting to to with the format the fields are in(number/text/currency)?

Any ideas or is there another way to localize script?

BR
