Default Access error--too few parameters

Why doesn&#039t this statement work in this context? It has before.

The error is:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error &#039 80040e10&#039

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too few parameters. Expected 1.

/content/cattestallnum.asp, line 42

The cattestallnum.asp reads:

37 Set conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
38 connStr = "DSN=Web"
39 conn.Open connStr
40 Set rs = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
41 strSQL = "SELECT tSearches.Link, tSearchbyType.SearchType, tSearchTypeImages.Image_sec_sm, tSearches.Link, tSearches.SearchNo, tSearches.Link, tSearches.Title, tSearches.Description FROM (tSearches INNER JOIN tSearchesbyType ON tSearches.SearchNo = tSearchesbyType.SearchNo) INNER JOIN tSearchTypeImages ON tSearchesbyType.SearchType = tSearchTypeImages.SearchType ORDER BY tSearches.SearchNo;"
42 rs.Open strSQL, conn, 1, 3

ANY insight would be VERY welcome

This is a stab but it may be that your recordset open statement is missing a parameter

rs.Open strSQL,conn,1,3,1 ? one for reading, one for locking and one for command type

My second guess is are you using _ at the end of you lines in your sql statement.

It is either the command type parameter missing on the end or you have fouled in you sql statement.

Hope that helps
Capn

THANK YOU! That was the key. Restructuring the SQL took care of it.
