Hello:
I have implemented an online resume database. I store an applicant&#039s resume as an html file, using their first and last name as the file name. Without going too much into detail, it is stored as an html file so that it can be easily be viewed later over the web. Unfortunately if, when entering their information, an applicant puts an extra space in their first or last name, it subsequently results in a file with a space in it;
ex: john doe.html, rather than johndoe.html
Does anyone know how, using VB script, I can omit a space in a character string? (sorry if I confused you)
code looks like this:

fileext1=fname & lname & chour & cminute & csecond & ".asp"
fileloc1a="/inetpub/wwwroot/resumes/" & fileext1
set objFSO1 = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
set objNewFile1B = objFSO1.CreateTextFile(fileloc1a)
