    if exists (select * from sysobjects where id = object_id(N&#039[dbo].[Address]&#039) and OBJECTPROPERTY(id, N&#039IsUserTable&#039) = 1)<BR>drop table [dbo].[Address]<BR><BR><BR>what is this sysobjects? i am confused about the select query statement? can someone explain.thanks

    The sysobjects table is a system table that is in every SQL Server database. It is used to hold information about all the objects within a database. In the example you posted the existence of the Address table is being checked before a DROP TABLE statement is executed.<BR><BR>Garth<BR>
