Hi all,

This is my first time here and I hope to pick your brains. I've only started ASP-ing 2 weeks ago (so excuse me if I'm asking a dumb question) and have gotten quite far with my first project, but now I'm stuck. :(

I am creating a db (access) with sports event schedules. I'm using a lot of 'includes' to give me drop-down boxes for all my options.

What I can't figure out is how I can structure my querry so that my sport sections will only display those that are linked to the sport name (ie. Where SportName=SportID), depending on a previously selected option - called from another include which looks exactly the same except for the names.

Below is my current include file which displays all sections, but as soon as I insert my 'select where' statement, everything falls apart.

<%

'Request the name of section and the primary key from the Section table.
SQLSECTION="SELECT SectionName, SectionID FROM tblSection ORDER BY SectionName"

'open connection
set connsection = server.createobject("ADODB.Connection")
connsec tion.open "Events"
set section=connsection.execute(SQLSECTION)
%>

<% 'Loop through the recordset to make each entry in the list. %>
<% do while not section.eof %>
<Option value = "<%= section(1) %>"> <%= section(0) %>
<%section.movenext
loop%>

<% connsection.close %>

Your help will be much appreciated!!

Cheers
Johan

PS: I'd like to do this for a few of my options ie. teams in that section, etc.
